q: 10) Can I make money while learning to bartend at a bartending school?
a: Yes. We don't know of any other bartending schools, institute, academy, college, or anything else in the L.A area that offers what we do. At the Elite Bartending Institute you will train behind a real bar, with real bartenders, serving real customers, and making real money.

q: 9) Are instructors washed up bartenders or current bartenders up on today's drinks and recipes?
a: At the Elite Bartending Institute All of instructors are active, very experienced bartenders that work right here on our very own premises and have for many years. q: 8) At Bartending School will I ever get to serve real customers, and what are the advantages of serving real life everyday customers?
a: Yes, once you have been in house certified by the Elite Bartending Insitute bartender school you will begin real bartending at our Sister Co. The Corner Club, where you will serve real patrons. You will learn responsible serving, and how to deal with real everyday situations where alcohol is involved. And did we mention... You get to make and keep the tips!!!

q: 7) What does it mean to be a certified bartender

q: 6) What do the other schools mean when they say that you will train behind a real bar
a: Most schools will advertise that you will train behind a rel bar, but make no mistake about it, it is not a real bar unless you are pouring real alcohol to real customers. Training behind a simulated bar would be like playing guitar hero and thinking you are playing a real guitar!!!

q: 5) Can I genuinely learn to make quality cocktails with the right taste, look, and texture by training with colored waters, fake juices, and creams?
a: Can you become a great chef cooking with fake food? We don't believe so! The other bartending schools tell you that consistency is what gives you the edge in making accurate great tasting cocktails. That is why they have you practicing over and over with their colored waters. (Yawn) At "Elite" we know, as very experienced bartenders, that you simply just cannot improve on recipe accuracy, presentation, appearance, and taste by pouring colored waters. Nor can you learn all the little tricks of the trade just training with colored waters. At "Elite" we know what it takes to make great bartenders.

q: 4) What's the reality of a bartender school job placement program?
a: To quote Jason Montello, head instructor at the Elite Bartending Institue, who has been hiring bartenders over 17 years, "I still get a good chuckle when the fresh out school students come walking in ready to conquer the bartending world! I have put many behind my very own bar over the years just to see what they've got, and although I think the other schools do a fair job of training their perspective bartenders with what they have to work with, it's my opinion that each and every one ohas had quite a ways to go to becoming what we at "Elite" consider to be a bartender! Again, there is no substitute for real on the job training. We at "Elite" know your chances of getting placed in the bartending job market could only be greatly increased by having 1) real hands on experience and 2) a letter of recomendation (not a diploma)."
